Gruene Hall, Lone Star Music & Emory Quinn

I had such a great Christmas with all of my family & friends this past weekend and didn't want to lose the holiday spirit feeling....so I packed up and headed down to Gruene, Texas on Saturday!

It is one of my favorite places in Texas & let me tell you it is even more beautiful at Christmas time! Knowing my passion for music and great antiques, I knew I would not be disappointed in my weekend get away.

With keeping up the tradition I brought my 5 year old daughter, Emma who is in love with Texas Country Music as much as I am, was ready to go boots and all...
Our first stop was the Gristmall to have dinner then off to Gruene Hall.

It was her first time in a dance hall and boy was she excited.

Emma was yelling, "Look Mom" it's George Strait there on the wall....yea, that was a proud moment! ;)
We walked into the hall & she literally was scootin' across the old wooden dance floor with excitement, she then turns around and says, "So, Mom...teach me how to dance like you do!"

At this point I couldn't have been any prouder!

With the live music being played, the mother daughter duo was making its way around the hall...
**Shout out to Emory Quinn who playing there that night, they did a great job & would love for you to check him out when you get a chance! **

After a hour or two of dancing and making new friends we had to call it a night...but oh cowboy was it an awesome & beautiful night in Gruene.
Right before we were heading out of town, we stop at Lone Star Music to take a peek and see if some of our friends' cds were fully stocked in the store.

Seriously as soon as we walked in, I was very thrilled to see someone buying their cd right then...I immediately had cold chills! I was so excited to see it happening!

Emma & I grabbed a few cds for ourselves and Rock n Rolled Tonight up 35 with the Josh Grider Band....and of course a few others!
peace, love & TEXAS COUNTRY MUSIC
